Interview Questions

Technical interviews on networking technologies can be a daunting prospect. Interviewers often present ill-thought-out questions, which reveal little about a candidate’s understanding, or worst still questions, that are so esoteric that you wonder if the interviewer is purely on an ego trip.

The best technical interviewers will take you on a journey through a particular subject, asking you to explain common concepts, starting with high-level questions, and then follow-on questions to ascertain the extent of your knowledge in any particular area.

The worst technical interviewers will give you a random set of questions they happen to know the answers to. This probably reveals more about the interviewer’s skill set than yours, so if this happens to you, don’t worry too much about it.

This section provides a set of questions on different areas you should probably know. I’ll update them over time.
